Breakfast of Champions

We've entered a new phase in solid food eating - the yellow/orange vegetable. Baby Z just started Sweet Potatoes. His reaction was tepid, to say the least (that's the bite of sweet potato hanging out there while Baby Z ponders if he wants to suck it in and swallow it). Really, who can blame him?

Who eats Sweet Potato for breakfast anyway?

Perhaps he would prefer some of Mommy's breakfast - grapenuts (with Mount Rushmore impression) or a blueberry muffin?

Hang in there, Baby Z. I think hearty crunchy grain cereal is an upcoming solid food group!

I can spot a Bumbo anywhere! at least i think that is what you have your little man sitting in! i cant live without that when it comes to feeding or ICantHoldYouEveryDamnSecond because, hullo, sometimes you need two hands. You are in good hands with Baby Wise. I also love Save our Sleep by Tizzie Hall. We have "Sleep Schools" in Australia which I have heard are wonderful. Maybe there are some in LA? If it gets to that point? It will get better, i promise. you just have to endure these first months of sleep hell. The patterns you set now for the sleep routine are the patterns you will have for years, so good for you for doing it right. The number of kids I have looked after that have idiots for parents and have the most dramatic, stressful sleep routines....makes me wanna cry with them! After all my time as a nanny, I can encourage you now to stick with it and just be patient. He will figure it out. Congrats on the little man too by the way...he is precious...xoxox, Heidi Clayton
